Katherine’s background includes reviewing and drafting commercial agreements and corporate governance documents, counseling clients on compliance obligations, and helping decision-makers understand their options so they can move forward with confidence. She brings a careful, detail-oriented approach shaped by years of analyzing complex factual records and anticipating downstream risks.
She is also deeply committed to client education. Katherine has designed and presented accredited continuing legal education programs on ethics, compliance, and emerging legal issues, including nationally broadcast webinars. She values clear communication and believes clients are best served when they understand not just what needs to be done, but why.
Earlier in her legal career, Katherine served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Peter M. Reyes, Jr. at the Minnesota Court of Appeals, an experience that strengthened her appreciation for careful drafting, procedural accuracy, and sound judgment.
Ms. Herzfeld grew up in Canada and earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba. She received her law degree with honors from the University of North Dakota School of Law.
Outside of her practice, Katherine enjoys spending time with family, yoga, and exploring California’s hiking trails.
