Sophia Kim Sakamoto, Esq. is a Partner at Sakamoto & Ruelas, APC, and has over 15+ years of extensive experience in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration. In addition, her background in trust and civil litigation, business, contract, and real estate law gives her clients the added benefit of drafting a complete and customized estate plan that best suits their individual needs.
Ms. Sakamoto’s background has been in handling high net worth estates in trust administration. She has represented both trustees and beneficiaries in trust litigation, and executors and heirs in probate. Now, her practice is devoted exclusively to drafting estate planning documents, handling trust and probate administrations, and counseling clients in the best legal and practical way to carry out their wishes. She is dedicated to providing her clients with exceptional service and listening closely to their concerns.
Ms. Sakamoto was born and raised in Southern California. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego. During college, she worked at a financial advising firm where she first became interested in estate planning. After working a few years in private corporations after college, Ms. Sakamoto moved up the coast to further study trusts and estates law at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California. After earning her law degree with a tax concentration, she moved back to Southern California where she currently resides with her husband and two daughters.
